Update - the big fruit has ripened and weighed in at 4.5 ounces. Tasted it yesterday with the wife, and she said it was very good and would make a great sandwich. Attempted to save seed, but the seeds are so tiny they don't look fully developed. We'll see how the other couple fruits do. Unfortunately, this was not a prolific producer in terms of number of fruits.
When I grew out 125x F2 a few years ago, there was one particular plant that caught my eye for the size of the fruit. This is an F3 from that plant's seeds. I also believe this one had a mega-blossom which is resulting in the larger fruit you see below. Plant is 11-12" in height, might have grown taller had I paid these more attention and given them some room under the light.
I expect this fruit to weigh in around 6oz.
I have plenty more F3 seed, and hope to find some more that produce larger fruits. The key is to find one that produces large fruits w/o relying on mega-blossoms.
